Patrick McHenry is a former Member of Congress from North Carolina and one of the leading Republican voices on U.S. financial and economic policy. McHenry played a central role in shaping modern financial regulation and advancing innovation-driven policy during his tenure in the House of Representatives. He gained national prominence in 2023 when he served as Acting Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives during a pivotal period of legislative transition.

As a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, McHenry focused on modernizing financial regulation to keep pace with technological change.
